KitaBuild Community
Community platform for AI, vibecoding, and digital creation skills.
A recurring, in-person community for sharing skills and ideas across AI, vibecoding, and digital creation — built to give Sabah-based practitioners a physical space for this that currently only exists online.
Format
Sessions run monthly and deliberately mix three modes in one sitting: hands-on workshops for skill-building, expert-led sharing, and open forums or debate where attendees push back on ideas rather than just receive them. Sessions are hosted at American Corner Sabah venues — the Sabah State Library and its Tanjung Aru Branch in Kota Kinabalu — a partnership that supplies the space and venue at no cost to the community.
What it covers
Topics span AI tools, vibecoding, Canva, digital marketing, and content creation — practical skill areas rather than a single narrow niche, so a session can pull in someone focused on AI workflows and someone focused on content strategy without either feeling out of place.
Why it works
Most AI/digital-skills content in Sabah is consumed alone, online, with no local peer group to test ideas against or ask questions of in person. A recurring in-person cadence — not a one-off event — builds the continuity a single workshop can't: people come back, know each other, and the discussion compounds session over session. The ACS venue partnership is what keeps it sustainable at zero cost, which matters because a paid venue would have forced either a fee or a shorter runway.
